PRESS BRIEF

DOES IT MAKE SENSE ON THE NEW MP’S VEHICLEPROJECT PROPOSAL

1. Does the new proposal of new vehicles make sense to a taxpayer who has been crying for 60 millions shillings.

It is a big surprise on how the events on MP’s vehicles are being twisted.

These are not government employees, then how does the government maintain and employ drivers, this is one of the ridiculous proposals. The people of Uganda are not going to allow this blackmailing and arm twisting from government and parliament. We are extremely concerned.

It is indeed a very strange proposal. We suggest that MP’s be given 60 millions: 30 million as a loan, 30 million as taxpayers’ contribution.

  1. KILLING OF UGANDANS IN SUDAN

Ugandans are being killed in Southern Sudan, but the government of Uganda is keeping quite. It is the cardinal duty of every government to protect, help and defend its citizens. Why is the Uganda government quite when Ugandans are dying in Sudan? The government must do one of the two. Either to help its citizens by stopping them from trading and going to Sudan or by protesting to the Sudan government against the killing of Ugandans.

  1. DP’S RALLY IN MASAKA.

Has government forgotten that we are in multiparty dispensation. At first I thought that DP should avoid Constitutional Square in order to avoid politics of confrontation. On giving the benefit of doubt on Inspector of Police Statement that constitutional square would disrupt business in the city centre. We were fooled, Kakiri or Masullita or for that matter Masaka are not in the centre of the business city. We therefore want to appeal to Uganda police and the NRM government that they are breaking the constitution of Uganda and the consequences are for them to harvest. Don’t push Ugandans on the wall. It is the constitutional right of every registered political party to hold a public rally anywhere in Uganda. Please be informed.
